Skerply pairs an Analyst agent with a Guardian agent and a Judge. Every high-value recommendation comes out of a recorded debate, with the rejected options written down next to the chosen one. You get the conclusion and the reasoning — not just a number.
How it works
1 — Read
Deployed via the Azure Marketplace as a Managed Application, Skerply runs inside your subscription with read-only permissions. It pulls Azure Cost Management, Resource Graph and selected metrics. No writes; no data leaves the tenant.
2 — Debate
The Analyst proposes a saving. The Guardian challenges it on reliability, lock-in, change risk and operational fit. The Judge picks a winner, drops weak proposals, and writes the recap. Every debate is bounded by a token cap, a wall-clock cap, and your monthly debate budget.
3 — Report
You see the chosen action, the dollar saving, the rejection rationale per alternative, and an Azure Retail Prices source URL for every quoted price. Admins can open the full debate transcript. Customers see a clean recap.
Ten built-in strategies
Each strategy frames the debate around one specific angle — storage tiering, compute right-sizing, reservation commitments, idle decommission, auto-scale conversion, licence optimisation, network egress reduction, IaaS to PaaS migration, dev / test scheduling, and database right-sizing.
Strategies are individually toggleable. Admins see win-rate, skip rate, and dollar yield per strategy in Settings and disable the ones that aren't earning their keep on your estate.

Questions we get a lot
Does it ever change my Azure resources?
No. The Managed Application is provisioned read-only and we have no role assignments outside the metric scopes you authorise.
How is it different from a consultant's bill review?
It runs every day, prices every option against the live retail catalogue, and shows its working. A consultant's report does this once a quarter.
What if the LLMs hallucinate a saving?
The Judge rejects any proposal whose price isn't in the Retail Prices call log for that debate. Hallucinated savings don't reach you.
Where does the data live?
Your billing data, your recommendations, and your debate transcripts stay inside your Azure subscription. Skerply reads them; it never copies them out. The only data that crosses the boundary is the metering event we send to the Azure Marketplace so we can bill you correctly.
